My name is Ms. Vidarte and, as I try to find words to describe myself in the short amount of space I'm allotted on this virtual portal, I'll do my best to give you an almost whole picture of who I am (you can certainly always ask me!). I am a native Angelena and, while I've fallen in love with many other cities all over the world, I don't picture myself ever leaving this beautiful Los Angeles. I am a proud Latina of Colombian descent and yes! I am fluent in Spanish as well. I love learning languages so throughout my College years I took American Sign Language and Italian to broaden my understanding of linguistics. I attended California State University, Los Angeles for my undergraduate degree in Urban Education. I am currently working on finishing my credential in Special Education. I love sports, especially my L.A. teams (Go Dodgers!) and I grew up playing soccer. I love running and hiking, but cannot do either for more than 8 miles at a time! I've ran the Los Angeles Marathon twice, and the idea of running it a third time has crossed my mind.

I like to read and my genres generally lie anywhere in between dark noir to light and fun comedy. Some of my favorite authors are Junot Diaz, Haruki Murakami, and Amy Poehler. And, in light of my favorite authors, I should also add my favorite types of music: anything from Classical like Rachmaninoff to calm and mellow Norah Jones! Favorite color is Turquoise and I like sunflowers. If you want to know more, Ask Me!
Looking forward to a fantastic school year! |
